We at Fourth Element are passionate about two things: watersports, and the planet. Through our forays into scuba diving and the scuba market we discovered the scourge of the ocean – ‘ghost’ fishing nets: nets abandoned or lost by their owners, floating the ocean continuing to catch sea-life. Well over a ton of nets are lost to the sea every single minute of every day.
We work with teams of divers across the world to recover as much of this net as possible, which is then recycled into Econyl – a material with which we now construct swimwear, rash guards, dive thermals and neoprene alternatives as “Ocean Positive”.
Our aim is to be the first brand to come to mind for eco-conscious divers, swimmers and other adventurers. We are already leading the way and can feel that it’s contagious. Come aboard, join the party, dive with us, and protect the ocean with our equipment for adventure.
Bristol Waste Company is your local recycling, waste collection and street cleansing company. We are committed to working in partnership with the people of Bristol to help all communities recycle more and throw away less.
Additionally, we run both the city’s household waste recycling centres and have recently launched a commercial waste service, offering local businesses tailored, cost effective recycling and waste solutions.
We employ over 500 people who make 17 million scheduled collections every year, operate 180 vehicles, collect 140,000 tonnes of waste and recycling per annum – of which we send 53,000 tonnes for composting or recycling.
We clean 800 miles of streets and footpaths and deal with 180,000 ad hoc job requests and service queries annually.
We are actively involved in the city’s Clean Streets campaign and our Community Engagement Team works in partnership with many groups and individuals across the city who want to help keep their neighbourhoods clean and tidy. We lend litter picking kits to support these activities.
Regarded as one of the toughest endurance challenges on the planet, the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race is crewed by people from all walks of life. Their courage is contagious. Twelve teams compete over eleven months, with each of the 700-intrepid crew taking on either an ocean crossing, combining several legs or completing the full circumnavigation. Discover what it takes to participate in this huge feat of human endeavor; what motivates the crew and how they cope against Mother Nature, in the Race of Their Lives.
Our unique, original itineraries – whether for small group cultural travel, walking, horse trekking or tailor-made holidays – allow you to venture beneath the surface of the region. Nothing excites us more than opening up new routes to genuine travellers and we are often the first to return to places that have vanished from the tourist map. We venture into some of the world’s most remote and exciting destinations across the Indian Sub-Continent, Central Asia and along the Old Silk Road, Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, South East Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Latin America.

British Exploring is a youth development charity which works through intensive expedition programmes with a wide range of young people to help them develop the resilience, determination and self-belief to succeed in life. We give young people access to remarkable experiences in both the UK and overseas wilderness locations (in 2017 we explored the Peruvian Amazon, Indian Himalaya, Canadian Yukon as well as visiting Iceland, Namibia and Spain) which help them understand how capable they are, and that there are no limits to what they can achieve.

Deakin and Blue is a women’s swimwear brand, launched in June 2017, on a mission to inspire and empower women to swim in style. Whether you’re diving into the deep end, paddle-boarding across an ocean or simply reaching for the cocktail next to your lounger, our swimwear is designed for active use and adventuring. We’re obsessed with female body shape and it informs everything we do: our product design, our sizing (which uses both dress and bust size), our language (we’d never sell an “extra large”) and our choice of models. We believe people perform best when they feel fantastic and so we design every product with female support, comfort and confidence in mind – from AA-HH cup. And finally, we’re passionate about the intersection of femininity and athleticism. We believe that choosing swimwear should not be a choice between one or the other.
Worldwide is a charity that has been working in Nepal for 12 years. PHASE empowers isolated communities in Nepal through sustainable and integrated programmes in health education and livelihoods. These regions have very limited resources, a harsh climate and mountainous terrain meaning it is a real challenge to deliver even basic services here, especially following the devastating earthquakes that shook the country in 2015.
The Youth Adventure Trust has been using outdoor adventure to inspire young lives for 25 years. In that time we have achieved some great things, but why do we do it? We believe that all vulnerable young people should have access to personal development opportunities so that they can fulfil their potential in the future. As part of that, we understand that learning in an outdoor environment is a key part of a young person’s development. Furthermore, we have seen how a long-term, early intervention, starting at age 11, successfully equips young people with the hope, confidence, skills and resilience that will last a lifetime.
