Jo Bradshaw is a mountaineer, outdoor instructor and expedition leader. She is the 3rd British woman to reach the true summit of Manaslu (8163m), the world’s 8th highest mountain, and became the 36th British woman to reach the summit of Everest in May 2016. Find out more about Jo here
- Mountaineer Jo Bradshaw gives an account of Junko Tabei – the first women to summit Mount Everest and the first woman to complete the Seven Summits Challenge.
- Tickets are £27 included a tasty Asian buffet, and the bar is open all evening.
- The event starts at 7pm on Friday 11th May, with drinks and starters. There will be a welcome and introduction at about 7:30pm, the main talk will begin at around 7:45pm, and finish by about 8:30pm followed by an Asian buffet.
- The venue is Bonghy-Bo Cafe-Bar Restaurant in the centre of Bath, a few minutes walk from Bath Spa train and bus stations.
Junko Tabei (22 September 1939 – 20 October 2016) was a Japanese mountaineer. She was the first woman to reach the summit of Mount Everest and the first woman to complete the Seven Summits Challenge – climbing the highest peak on every continent.
