The Women’s Adventure Expo are thrilled and honoured to announce that we will be joined next week by Lucky Chhetri and Khim Kumari of 3 Sisters Adventure Trekking in Nepal. This is one of the projects we have been hoping to support since WAExpo began, and we have just launched an urgent Crowdfunding campaign to assist with their travel.
Only just been granted visas, the race is on to raise the funds to cover Lucky and Khim’s travel costs from Pokhara, Nepal to Bristol, UK for a 10 day stay and to attend the Women’s Adventure Expo on 8th October, 2016. Lucky is one of the founding sisters of 3 Sisters Adventure Trekking, and Khim is one of their professional trekking guides who successfully completed the guide training programme provided by partner organisation Empowering Women of Nepal.
3 Sisters Trekking has changed the lives of thousands of young women in Nepal, and with our support, they can continue to strengthen female independence and provide opportunities that will empower women in Nepal for future generations.
