We are delighted to be partnering again with Freedom of Mind CIC, for a brand new half-day event on Adventure and Wellbeing. Building on our joint workshop last year, this event will explore how key elements of adventure such as being in a natural environment, stepping outside our comfort zone, dealing with uncertainty and coping with challenges can give moments of awe, build confidence and nurture resilience.
Overview: We will learn about the latest research in this field, and about community-based projects making a difference to people’s lives. The event will bring together people from a wide variety of backgrounds, and provide an opportunity to share knowledge, ideas and experiences. The programme will be informative and interactive including short presentations, seminar, workshops and facilitated networking.
When and Where: The Adventure and Welllbeing event will be held in Bristol at the Watershed on Friday 5th October 2018, the day before WAExpo2018. Sessions start in the afternoon at 1:30pm, and finish at 5pm. There is the opportunity to have lunch with other attendees in the Watershed Cafe before the event starts.
Cost: Tickets are £22 per person, or £18.50 per person for a group ticket of five or more people. This is a not-for-profit event, and any surplus will go towards supporting our projects. We have kept the ticket price as low as possible while still covering costs. We want this event to be as inclusive as possible, so if you would like to buy a ticket for yourself and support someone else on very low income to attend, please select the Philanthropy ticket at £39.
Outdoor Options: In the morning, have some outdoor-time by joining a Wellbeing Walk or Cycle The City tour. After the event ipse wilderness is hosting a wellbeing camp-out at Brown Rock Woodland just outside of Bristol. More info on Outdoor Options here.
