Listen to the tales and experiences of some feisty women, women who have all followed adventure around the world, and back. From Ali Mahoney who a year ago, was sat in the audience just like you, and after being inspired to create her own adventure, is now back with us to share her story. To one of the UK’s most experienced adventurers, Belinda Kirk, sharing her vast experience and knowledge. These workshops will take you inside the mind of an adventurer, and allow you to understand how the ordinary, can become extraordinary, and that life begins on the other side of your fears!

Do I need to book in advance for the Workshop and the Lowe Alpine sessions?

No, thanks to some recent alterations in our event layout, we have created more space for workshop seating. However, our workshop rooms are only designed to fit 40 people comfortably, so if you wish to attend a particular session or workshop, we advise that you arrive at the room 10 minutes before the session starts. Members will have priority seating on the front rows of all workshop rooms.

Is this programme suitable for all ages?

Yes, last year we welcomed several young girls to the event, and plenty of mature Ladies and Gentlemen. The content is best suited to 12 years and over, and the occasional expletive may pop out, due to the nature of describing extreme circumstance, or with the passion are speakers tell their story’s. All ages will be motivated and inspired by our speakers, and we have planned a programme which harnesses adventure as an accessible, and achievable activity.

Can I talk to the Speakers and ask Questions?

Yes, the Women’s Adventure Expo aim to deliver a personal atmosphere at all our events. We have found that a cycle of positive reinforcement benefits everyone, especially when time is created for our Speakers and audience to interact. This year in addition to our sessions Q&A time, we have an allocated speakers corner, to the side of the main stage. We will be encouraging all of our speakers to interact with members of the audience here after their sessions. However, we do ask that conversations wrap up, or continue later when the next session begins.

Will I have time to eat and drink with so much going on?

Yes, don’t worry we understand you don’t want to miss a thing, and want time to network in our breaks, so we have included lunch and refreshments with your ticket! These will be served right next to our Workshop rooms and Main Stage area, you will be able to re-fuel, stay focused and network all at the same time! If you have special dietary need’s please contact us via the Contact Page, and we will be happy to answer your enquiry.
